With the development of computer technology, network technology and embedded technology as well as the addition of testing objects and the diversity of testing tasks, the technology of testing system bus has developed rapidly. In this case, LXI bus standard appeared in2004. Subsequently, many instrument vendors and universities have joined the R&D ranks of LXI instruments. It greatly promoted the development of LXI bus standard, and brought unprecedented development opportunities to LXI-based instrumentation bus standard.This thesis originates from the project "Hardware design of automatic IC test system Based on LXI bus architecture". The main task is to study the LXI bus technology and the development of embedded system, and complete the hardware design of test system which has64analog inputs and outputs channels and16digital inputs and outputs channels. The data transmission of the system mainly bases on LXI bus architecture with high-performance computers and high-speed network equipment. The module can be connected through the backplane and configured into different functional test platform. This article finished the following four areas:1. Analyzing the development of automated test systems and the advantages of LXI bus standard and designing the overall framework of the IC test system based on LXI bus standard.2. Designing the communication system based on LXI bus standard. The communication process of the system abandoned the previous bus standard, such as GPIB, VXI, PXI, but through the Ethernet port for communication with PC. We can contrl the test process and display the test data by browser or software in PC.3. Designing three system including AD, DA and digital inputs and outputs. The whole hardware design refers to the requirements of IC test system, so it is safety and reliaility. The microcontroller of the system is ARMCortex-M3. In addition to the basic circuit(including the power supply circuit, reset circuit, Ethernet circuit, JTAG circuit and clock circuit), each system also designed unique systems(including A/D data acquisition circuit, D/A circuits, circuits) to achieve the functions of analog input, analog output and digital input and output. 4. Drawing the schematic and PCB, soldering circuit boards and testing each module. The results showed that the hardware platform of IC test system based on LXI bus is feasible.The system was multi-channel inputs and outputs, high processing speed. It greatly improved the test efficiency of the IC basic parameters. In addition, the modular design also made the system more flexible and connectting with the PC made data display and system control more easily.In the article, there are43illustrations,8tables, and35references.
