The Research Of LAN Switch Board Hardware Design And Test

LAN Switch including L2/L3 layer switch, L2 switch and L3 router function comprehensivion, but Switch router modules have difference from router. Lan switch MAC addressing scheme, But Router data is different from LANS and WANs and based on network address, From the point of the board hardware, responsible for hardware designing, developing and testing products for LAN Switch products, the key problems of the hardware design and test in the LAN Switch development are discussed in this paper, in order to develop an advanced modern hardware design and test system.Base on the research and analysis of board hardware design technology, which mainly includes four phases. The first phase is familiar with hardware system frame. The second is to grasp chips datasheet, especially key chip, such as MAC, PHY, CPU etc. The third is to develop the relationship between software I/O interface, The last one is board hardware debug, The tool of design is Cadence software. The key point of hardware test technology, which mainly grasp power and signal integrity, hardware system function test, reliability test.LAN Switch hardware design and test technology has successfully paced into industrial phase.
