In today’s society, micro-deformation phenomenons exist in many areas, such asdams, bridges, and skyscrapers long-term exposed in the air may suffer frommicro-displacement or micro-deformation, which could bring out immeasurable loss tothe public safety and economy. More specifically, micro-displacement ormicro-deformation not only can cause geological disaster, e.g., earthquake, landslide ofslope rock and soil, and crag in the mountain road, but also can lead to deformation ofultra-high power transmission tower of high voltage and capacity transmission linesystem in the “Nortel sent South” and “West to East” project. Among this, as one kindof the flexible high-rise structure the ultra-high power transmission tower will deformbecause of the vibration and towed load brought out by the long-term wind[1]. In orderto monitor and analyze the micro-deformation accurately and real-timely as well aspredict and reduce the damage, it is essential to carry out in-depth research on themicro-deformation technique.In regard to micro-deformation IF (intermediate frequency) receiver system, thispaper firstly introduces the operation principle and system structure ofmicro-deformation receiver. Then the interface of micro-deformation receiver isdesigned by using the EDK nested software which is provided by XILINX cooperationcombined with SOPC based embedded system. The main work of this paper isorganized as follows:(1) A/D sampling. AD6645chip is utilized to carry out AD sampling. In this system,it is needed to transform the analogue signal to digital signal by AD sampling since thesignal received by the receiver is analogue.(2) CF card storage. In this project, as the damage caused by micro-deformation is along, slow deformation process, long-term monitoring is necessary for the analysis ofdeformation law. Therefore, CF card as a stable storage medium can significantlyenhance the stability, protracted nature and reliability of data storage.(3) Transmission. In this paper, the sampled data need to be transmitted to theprocessing terminal because the monitoring and control of buildings or devices in themicro-deformation system is generally unmanned and conducted in the field or highaltitude. This paper selects modem to transmit data based on public phone network,which is more economical and efficient comparing to other data transmission modes. (4) VGA display is to process the received data and then display signal in the LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), which is benefit to observe deformation law directly. TheVGA interface display in this paper is based on SOPC and realized by EDK developedby XILINX cooperation.
