With the powerful digital signal processing ability, signal displaying, storing, input and output functions, the computer takes great actions in signal processing. Several of signals are amplified, filtered, and then the analogy signals should be converted into digital signals before imported into the computer. Furthermore, the metrical instruments would perform as the command of the computer. There are many kinds of data sampling and controlling cards. Some are based on PC-Bus, such as PCI-Bus, ISA-Bus, this kind of card can be directly inserted into the slot on the main-board in the computer, it often has a higher-speed sampling-velocity. And, some are connected to the computer though the serial port or parallel port, it can be used conveniently. In this discourse, a kind of serial wireless data sampling and controlling system based on microprocessor is recommended.In this design, the serial data sampling and controlling system is based on SUNPLUS SPCE061A microprocessor. With the larger build-in storage in the microprocessor , the embedded real-time kernel MicroC/OS- II can be transplanted, then under this operating system, some kinds of applications, such as multi-channels data sampling, input/output, communication, calculation, can be compiled and realized.The programmable data sampling can be realized in this system. The user can set the sampling parameter on the computer, such as sampling channel, sampling frequency. The programs of the computer are complied under the Visual C++ circumstance. In these programs, many functions are achieved, such as parameter setting, serial data sending and receiving, data displaying and data storing.The sampling system communicates with the computer through the serial port. The computer sends the instructions to the microprocessor and receives the data from the microprocessor. Using the SPCE061A'build-in hardware devices, the system can carry out multi-function according to the users request. Experiments show that the design is feasible. Taking full advantage of SPCE061A, the system is of low power consumption, low cost and high stability.Moreover, to improve the flexible and expendability of the system, the communication between the computer and the microprocessor in wireless mode, the radio modem module is theADAM-4550 of Advantech, it can be connected to the serial port of the computer directly, and RS-232 voltage-converting circuit is needed in the microprocessor system.
