Pharos--artificial signs which are used to help ships sail, locate and mark obstacles.As a basic device to ensure the security of the water transport, it works properly or notplays a vital influence to the ships’ sail. The frequent accident such as ship ran agroundand wrong route happened because of the anomalies of pharos. To ensure the pharoswork properly is extremely important to protect the safety of shipping.The system of pharos system nowadays has been made better than the traditionalone. It is an embedded system integrating GPRS and GPS modules, which greatlyenhance the remote monitoring and control functions. Nevertheless, high integration isa great challenge to power consumption. In addition, the communication cost forGPRS is also expensive, the GPRS module exists the problem of blind spots. Themonitoring center cannot survey those areas.In order to solve these problems and improve the digitalization and intelligence,the paper analyzes the actual situation, combines modern wireless communicationtechnology, radio frequency technology and wireless sensor technology, someresearches on how to build wireless sensor network for telemetering and telecontrol ofpharos are done. The paper is as follows:①According to the requirements, the paper raises the solution on the wirelesssensor network for telemetering and telecontrol of pharos. The paper selects RF433module, ARM processor and GPRS module, and then builds the network, which canrealize the function of data acquisition, monitoring and so on.②The paper completes the design of hardware and software on acquiring basicinformation, image and network building.③The paper designs the network protocol and data transfer protocol between thepharos and monitoring center, at the same time, the paper introduces the imageacquisition monitoring method. The paper sets one base and three nodes as an example,and realizes the network data transmission and monitoring and upload of basic dataand image.④The paper tests the prototype system, the results shows that the system cancomplete the functions, meets the design requirements.The paper makes the design and realization of wireless sensor network forTelemetering and Telecontrol of Pharos, and does some tests. The results shows that the system designed reduced the power consumption and communication cost, solvedthe problem of signal blind sport. Finally, it improves the efficiency of monitoring andvisualization.
