There is a high requirement of the actual operation for our soldier along with theequipment of infantry unit in our army is modernized.However, routine training because it isspend too much, long period and high risk could not get practical training, especially thehigh-strength tactical encounter.In this particular case, simulation of military combat becomesan important method to solve these problems. And we all know that combat environment isthe spatial foundation of all military operation, so that we argue that technique of militarycombat simulation is already turn into a significant research in field of military combatsimulation from now on.The research of this paper is to perspective virtual battlefieldenvironment of infantry unit, in this opinion to set design proposal. We claim that practicefor actual combat and give the new concept for this research, in the meantime, it also offer atest channel for large-scale combat practice.This paper present the concrete design pattern based on the virtual battlefieldenvironment of infantry unit, adopted MultiGen Creator/Vega as development platform,and finished the simulation work of virtual battlefield environment of infantry unit. MainResearchworks are as follows:①Research the military application of virtual reality technique and virtualizationtechnology from domestic and overseas previous research work.②Introduce the related theory of particle system, texture mapping technology, level ofdetail model, and collision detection. Research the method of application and skill ofMultiGen Creator/Vega, and utilize the real instance to introduce modeling and sceneintegration technology static and dynamic entity, establish a model library of virtualbattlefield environment of infantry unit, realize the structure of this environment.③Made the demand analysis of the virtual battlefield environment of infantry unit.Analysis based on the requirement of terrain model, battlefield environmental effect, rapidityof model construction, and military requirement, then provied basis for this virtual simulation.④Based on MultiGen Creator/Vega development platform, this paper proposed areal-time and interactive design pattern, realized the function of real scene display,Real TimeCruise,model driven,real-time and special efferct display.⑤By the MultiGen Creator modeling and research of Vega driven, developed asimulation system of virtual battlefield environment of infantry unit based on computer platform. Realized the simple simulation of this simulation system. And it could realize thesimulation of special effects, sounds, the virtual pictute was vivid and fluent, and it hasfriendly interaction interface.
