With the application and development of the computer in varies of fields, the technologies of the image, graphics, and virtual reality have been widely used in the armed forces. The battlefield environment three-dimensional simulation has a broad prospect in application. Many command systems, training simulation systems and experimental systems all need the support of this technology. It can provide multi-dimensional, perceptible, measurable and realistic virtual battlefield environment. So, it can provide the same simulation environment same as the actual exercise area, simulate the virtual training environment for specific training projects, and change the virtual battlefield environment in accordance with the changes of the battlefield situation in the war exercises and trainings.This topic is to satisfy the combat command laboratory construction of the college and the need of command simulation training under the integrated joint operation, It is based on the related rules and regulations, training syllabus, and technical specification of our force. And then, the technology and methods of three-dimensional simulation presentation for the battlefield environment and combat operation situation are studied. The purpose is to construct battlefield environment three-dimensional visual simulation platform with standard interface, embeddable, advanced and practical technology, high efficiency and stability, which to improve the efficiency of command training information system research, information level of teaching and training, and the level of army battle combat laboratory. We build the platform using Visual C++development, applies to the Windows XP operating system.This paper resolved the problem of high-resolution remote sensing images source terrain texture generation by presenting a synthesis method of high-resolution surface texture from the image templates. It proposed a compatible three-dimensional data set of macroscopic three-dimensional and the microscopic three-dimensional format, and constructed the macro and micro multi-scale three-dimensional simulation which meet the needs of different levels of hierarchical command training. It proposed a method of the combat operations depolymerization which broke down the link from command and control, action simulation,3D depolymerization. to3D virtual display, which resolved the whole linkage of the two-dimensional display and the three-dimensional simulation. It proposed a standardized set of standardized data interface to achieve battlefield environment, through which the3D visual simulation platform can be embed fast. The experimental result shows that the method in this paper can solve the3D simulation of the battlefield.Therefore, it is necessary and important to develop a generic, flexible configuration and three-dimensional visual simulation platform with highly reuse capabilities system. It is needed by many command and training systems.
