Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, video surveillancesystem has become an important component to ensure the social and public safety, andit is widely utilized in various application fields such as banking, education, safe city,electricity, smart traffic area etc. Rail transit as a public transport, there is a largenumber of passengers, using video surveillance technology to monitor the subwaystation and the interior. is of urgently necessity.At present, video surveillance systems have been installed in the station of railtransit in several metropolitans in China’s major cities, and the surveillance for thestation has been realized, and played an important role. However, the surveillancesystem for the train has rarely been used in domestic rail transit. Traffic videosurveillance system as an important tool to prevent abrupt events happening in railtransit and to improve track traffic operational capacity to ensure operational safety andto strengthen the scheduling management plays an important role.For the front end equipment of video surveillance system is fixed on a runningsubway train. Proposed a wireless video transmission scheme based on Mesh Networks.For the program, this article first introduces the development of video surveillancesystems, and discusses the key technologies of wireless video transmission. On the basisof access to a large number of video surveillance program literature. According to theneed of rail transit, Combined with the actual grouping of the Shanghai subway train,the proposed hierarchical design-based Gigabit Ethernet transmission scheme to deploythe on-board part, and sets up simulated test bed for this scheme, the data and result ofthe test proves the feasibility and usability of the scheme. For the wireless transmissionpart, completed the design of the Mesh nodes, brings forward Wireless Mesh handoffscheme based on signal strength, and completed the programming of the vehicle serversdouble data distribution program, building a train-land broadband wirelesscommunication systems, and gets the actual performance parameter of Mesh aftertesting in real Metro environment, then validates its feasibility for actual project.The field testing indicates: using the proposed program to build the broadbandvideo surveillance system can realize the real-time video monitoring to the traincompartments.
