The video information is main source information for people to obtain, with theprogress of image processing and wireless network technology, video surveillancetechnology developed rapidly, there is a transition from traditional analog videosurveillance system to digital network video surveillance system, digital network videosurveillance system has high quality, clear images, network management incomparableadvantages. This article will combine with the embedded technology and wirelessnetwork technology to design a portable video surveillance terminal, which based onARM microprocessor and cut embedded Linux OS. Video surveillance terminal receivesurveillance front-end coding processing of video data through wireless network,real-time decode the received video data, display surveillance image. Video surveillanceterminal get rid of the shackles of the network cable, carry terminal for mobilemonitoring, improve the flexibility of the surveillance system.This topic select S3C2440microprocessor as the core of the hardware platform,peripheral hardware circuit expanded on this platform, including Nand Flash circuit,SDRAM circuit, USB interface circuit, LCD interface circuit, power circuit etc, givenvideo surveillance terminal general hardware architecture. This paper describe themethod of cutting Linux OS for video surveillance terminal, as well as building root filesystem. Video surveillance terminal connect to the Internet network, migrate wirelessnetwork card TL-WN322G driver in the kernel.Video surveillance terminal build the C/S network architecture with the videosurveillance front-end for the transmission of video data, H.264video data streamtransmission based on UDP/IP network communication protocol, use Real-timeTransport Protocol to protect data transmission reliability. Taking into account the UDPtransport packets disorder phenomenon, this paper give key technology to deal with thereceived data packets, propose the approach of loss video data packets in the case ofnetwork instability. Through study of the H.264deciding technology, the article analysisthe decoding process which include entropy decoding, inverse quantization, inversetransform, intra prediction, inter prediction principle, use FFMPEG open sourcedecoding library real-time decoding video data on Linux platform, and finally using theSDL library display the YUV format image on the LCD screen, achieve the purpose ofmonitoring. Portable video surveillance terminal is the integration of embedded, electronic,communication technology equipment which low cost, powerful, convenience featuressatisfy the needs of video surveillance system. Therefore, Portable video surveillanceterminal based on ARM has a good prospect of application in the field of videosurveillance.
