With the rapid development of Internet and the improvement of smart sensortechnology, it is an important tendency to combine the Internet technology with the smarttransducer technology to develop the next generation of sensors, which enables the sensorsto own the ability of TCP/IP-based communication at the device level. This is one of theimportant development directions of sensor technology. Developing the smart sensor ofInternet interconnection function has important meaning to building remote monitoring.This dissertation briefly introduces IEEE1451 series standard,focus on IEEE1451.2standard,and designed Smart Transducer Interface Module based on thisstandard,combined with Network Capable Application Processor which is a commonobject model basedon IEEE1451.1 to realizes its full working prototype. Moreover,several experiments are designed to verify its function.This system includes three parts: the first, Smart Transducer Interface Module(STIM). STIM is discussed from five aspects in this paper, including: IEEE1451.2standard, software and hardware design of smart transducer, the research and design ofTransducer Independent Interface (TII) protocol, the implementation of TEDS and testingplatform of smart transducer. Second, Network Capable Application Processor (NCAP).The hardware of NCAP is mainly composed of SX52BD microcontroller, Ethernet controlchip RTL8019AS, serial memory 24LC256 and serial electric level conversion chipMAX232. SX52BD microcontroller implements TCP/IP protocol stack, and drive thenetwork interface controller RTL8019AS, then through HR901170A and Ethernet torealize the interconnection between the embedded system and Internet. Third, networkcommunication software of smart sensor and data rectification. Data rectification engineuses least square to realize the linearization correcting and sensitive parametercompensation of smart sensor. The software of network communication uses Visual C++,SQL to develop the embedded Web server based on HTML style.This system can realize the function of Internet access of smart sensor, which used intelemonitoring of machine equipment condition can achieve remote data transmit, dynamic data storage and real-time waves display.
