With the rapid economic development, the demand for resources commodities in China such as bulk grains, metal ores, coals and cokes etc. have been constantly increasing. In order to meet the trend of harboring giant cargo and accelerate the cycles of harboring cargo, the equipment of continuous cargo-unloading installations were made in a large-scale manner with even more complicated parts and structures. Though the huge machine raises the production, making a great economic value, however, enough attention should be given to its safety and reliability. As a bone supporter for the cargo-unloading machine, the steel structures bear not only the loads of itself but also the working parts. So the working conditions of the steel structures matters very much to the safety of the whole machine. The cargo-unloading of Tianjin port which had been used for 24 years, making it in a extended-service state. Being in over-load working condition and constant affection by the sea water and humid moisture, the anti-bend and bear-load of its main body have been greatly reduced, resulting in breaks in its steel structure, which threats the production and safety to the harbor. In the past, it was required to test the working and safety conditions by the staff with various meters and instruments at the spot, then, collect all the data to make an analysis, which made the job troublesome and inaccurate. Therefore, it is necessary to design an automatic and reliable monitoring system to solve the problems. This essay takes stress as its study object. Starting from the practical steel structures of its unloading and considering the specific working condition, the system makes it possible a on-line monitoring by means of mode establishment and by the aid of imitating software. With a view of future development, the system adopts a modeling code. It is believed that after the application of the system, the accuracy and reliability of the machine will be raised and the work intensity be reduced and producing both practical and economic values. The writer hopes this paper will provide some significant information on the on-line monitoring for the continuous cargo-unloading machines.
