Virtual instrumentation uses mainstream computer technologies combined with innovative, flexible software and modular, high-performance hardware technologies to create powerful computer-base instrumentation solutions. With this approach we can capitalize on the ever-increasing performance of personal computers and take advantage of the freedom to define measurement and automation solutions that meet our specific needs. Electrical fuel pump holder kits(TEE) is one of most important parts in the electric fuel ejection system mainly composed by electrical fuel pump(EKP) and fuel level sensor(TSG). With TEE been installed into gasoline tank, EKP pump the fuel from fuel tank into engine via the power connector passing the control voltage. TSG give the feedback about the volume of the fuel in the tank for the ECU.This project is used the virtual instrument technology as the core to build an equipment to do the TEE functions measurement. With using the LabVIEW program the application software, all kinds of field signals and DAQ process, after designing, purchasing, building, debugging and final-acceptance for a half year, the equipment has be made successful in the end to compliment all the function measurement item included EKP start-up current, polarity, TSG dynamic high-resistance. Because it can produce more than 40 kinds of diffierent TEE for SAIC, Hafei, Chery, Xiali, GM, Great Wall, Greely and JAC, etc, the project has gained the great success, up to Aug31, 2007 more than 1'000'000 pcs TEE have been produced.
