It i s su g g es t ed th at th e se n so r h a s b et t er se l e ct i v it y to S O2g as. T h ro u gh th e U V i rr ad ia te s T i O2n an o tu b es se n s o r, th e at t ac h e d g as m o le c u l a r s ar e ta k eno f f th e se n s o r an d t h e se n so r av oi d th e ch em ic a l po is o n i n g an d p ro lo n g th e li f e an d h as a g oo d re co v er y ch ar ac t er i st i cs.
