Partial Discharge(PD) is the important reason for bad- insulation of large power high voltage equipment. With the on-line monitoring for the power high voltage equipment,it can reflect the internal insulation bad degree in order take steps to prevent the equipment fault ahead of time which can bring great loss. Designing the on-line monitoring instrument for partial discharge of power high voltage equipment have good market perspective.In order to meet market demand, the software base on an on-line monitoring instrument which named PDM and used for measure PD is introduced in this thesis.PDM use virtual instrument idea to plan the whole system which make use of modular hardware,obtain the PD signal with UHF-AE combined detecting technology, a -nd dispose of the signal using digital filter, real time statistic and recording to form the statistic data and characteristic graphics .According to these,PDM software bring about some statistic parameters which can express PD reasonable and user can diagnose PD by experience and estimate PD type.In this thesis, basic principles ,the instrument structure and some important data mode which provide foundation for statistic analysis of PD were given firstly. Then, the measurement analysis software was introduced according to the design specification and the whole chip operational principle was introduced. Since the project of PD instrument was accomplished through the team work, the author payed particular attention to the the design of the logic control layer of the the measurement analysis software, algorithm research, the plan of the print class and some software test. therefore the whole project was introduced,at the same time,the logic control layer and the algorithm of the software were emphasized. In the conclusion of this thesis, the advanced idea and improvement on some methods of PDM instrument were pointed out.This thesis is PD on-line monitoring practice which use virtual instrument technology, data collection technology,real time recording and statistic theory. By means of these digtal method, PDM is distinguished by it's statistic analysis characteristic and the PD diagnose by experience is the brightly characteristic. According to research into PD statistic theory , the thesis is the base of method about PD type identifying by pattern. recognition algorithm such as NN etc.
