At present, affected by shipping market overcapacity and relevant national policies,shipbuilding enterprises are facing a difficult situation, such as decline in orders, shippingprices drop, labor costs increase, rising steel prices and chargeback serious. Enterprises inorder to reduce costs and increase benefits, they must improve the level of technology andmanagement, which requires the support of information technology. The aim of researchingon risk management of the informatization is to guide the risk management of shipbuildingenterprise informatization, and improve the success rate in informatization construction.In this paper, based on the work breakdown structure, risk breakdown structure, faulttree analysis and Bayesian network theory, studied the shipbuilding informatization projectand researched the risk management of risk identification, risk assessment, risk control andtracking process.First, according to production management features in shipbuilding enterprise,detailedly elaborated the particularity of the information technology projects in shipbuildingenterprise. On this basis, top-down decomposed respectively the information technologyprojects system function of shipbuilding enterprise and risk factors by WBS and RBS. Thenrecognized risk factors by stages based on the establishment of WBS-RBS coupling matrix.Secondly, based on analysis of the risk assessment strategies, established the fault tree ofrisk factors by the use of analysis fault tree method. Then Bayesian network model was built based on fault tree through a certain transformation rules, and the network structure wasoptimized to complete the quantitative assessment of the risk factors. Meanwhile, risktracking measures which adapted to the three major shipbuilding enterprise informationproject risk (schedule, cost, quality) were proposed based on the risk assessment and results.Finally, a shipyard was selected as a case to discuss the practical application of project riskmanagement process, and declare the above described methods were feasible and practical.Shipbuilding enterprise is a typical complex product manufacturer, and its informationtechnology project risk management approach to other complex product manufacturers(such as aircraft, marine engineering and manufacturing, etc.) has a certain reference.
