The implementation of multifunctional integrated radar/electronic warfare system isone of the most significant issue in the development of modern information war. With therapid development of digital signal processing technology, universal signal processor, a keycomponent for integration, gains an new technical breakthrough. However, the increasinglycomplexity of electronic warfare environment pose it a critical challenge.In this paper, Multifunctional integrated Radar and Electronic Warfare System signalprocessor is deeply and systematically investigated. Firstly, we study and discuss the keyalgorithms in radar/electronic warfare signal processing, including digital beam forming(DBF) algorithm; pulse compression, MTI, MTD and CFAR methods in radar signalprocessing; as well as the signal sorting, parameter estimation and identification for PDWsignal in electronic warfare signal processing, mostly for ESM and ELINT parts. Then, thearchitecture of universal signal processor is designed. We put forward a novel designsolution and new processor, based on VPX bus standard, using eight nuclear high-endprocessor——Godson3B as the universal processor, combining FPGA, designing thehardware model and software model for the system. Finally, whether the system will beused on the next generation of universal signal processor or not is discussed.After research, the paper present a reasonable and innovative design idea andimplementation scheme for common signal processor of radar/electronic warfare system,having certain reference value for related researchers and fellows.
