Because of its special materials and complicated manufacturing process, Aero-enginecomponents always at a high cost. Aircraft engine parts usually only be replaced after damage, whichgreatly increased maintenance costs. In view of this situation, re-manufacturing technology forAero-engine components came into being. Re-manufacturing technology is a process to repair theworn or damaged components by some special manufacturing technology, the performance of therepaired components can reach or exceed the new components. However, due to a late start, theAero-engine components remanufacturing technology of china can not be applied to actual productionnow.The kernel of the Aero-engine components remanufacturing technology is rapid laserremanufacturing software system. Rapid laser remanufacturing software system can read the STL fileof the components to be repaired, has the hierarchy slicing function, it can also generate thescanning path and do the motion simulation of rapid prototyping. The remanufacturing softwaresystem has strong practicability, it can improve the efficiency of research and has a great help tolooking for best experimental parameters. In this paper, the remanufacturing software system ofaircraft engine components for the study, the main research are as follows:Build the simulation platform of rapid laser remanufacturing by VC++and OpenGL. Explorethe process of rapid laser remanufacturing on aero-engine components. Using reverse engineeringtechniques to obtain the3D data of repair parts and then convert it into STL file.The simulation platform can read the STL file in textual format or binary format. And has thefunction of slicing STL model. It use a new slicing method, slicing STL model by seriatim incisingtriangles is brought forward, it greatly improved the efficiency of slicing, and it can slicing models ofcomplex parts.The laser scanning path was discussed, different parts has a different scanning path. The systemcan automaticly generate the straight line and circular scanning path. and it also can automaticlygenerate the NC code for laser cladding experiments. We can test the scanning path by the3DAnimation Simulation.The rapid laser remanufacturing experiment was performed on foundry material GH4169byusing FGH95which is one of Nickel-based metal powder material. It test the performance of thesoftware system of rapid laser remanufacturing.
