In recent years, the manufacturing and maintenance cost of aero-engine increases significantly asa variety of new material and technology is widely used. in order to reduce cost and extend the life ofengine parts, the laser remanufacturing technology came into being. Laser remanufacturing is aprocess that uses laser cladding technology to repair the failure parts, making its performance to meetor exceed the prototype products. In China, laser remanufacturing technology start late, laserremanufacturing for aero-engine is still in the research stage.Hardware, software and the selection of proper process is important in laser remanufacturing.Remanufacturing software system is able to read parts model by specific format and use properalgorithm to accomplish model slicing, path planning, NC code generation and simulation functions;Process information platform provides the function of statistics, analysis of test data. These help toensure the forming precision and improve the research efficiency, and proved to be practical. In thispaper, the research is carried out from two aspects, with the background of aero-engine partsremanufacturing:Built the laser manufacturing software system and process information platform with VC++andother tools. Displayed STL model by using OpenGL graphic interface and accomplished modelmanipulation function. Expanded and improved the slicing and scan path generation algorithm,accomplished three kind of path planning function, improved the efficiency, reliability of thealgorithm and ensured the remanufacturing accuracy of complex models. The functions of NC codegeneration and3-dimentional animation are also added to facilitate the test, validate scan path andmake a assessment of the remanufacturing effect. The process platform use Access to record andmanage test data and achieved the functions of statistics, fitting and visualization of test data by thehybrid programming of Matlab and C++language.Discussed the complex process factors that affect the laser remanufacturing precision,accomplished a numerical simulation to study the temperature and stress field by Marc. Discussed theinfluence of pretreatment structure to residual stress distribution and gave the proposals to reduce thedistortion of thin-walled workpiece.
