Railway is an important infrastructure and it is one of the major ways oftransportation. What’s more, with the continued construction of the electrical railwayand high-speed passenger dedicated lines, the status of railway has been rising innational economy. Power supply section emerges with the construction of electricalrailways, it is an important department to preserve the catenary and manage thetraction power supply.Now, it is a time of rapid development of information technology, it makes theefficiency and safety of the management of railway power supply department possible.Although the information construction of the railway management has already gaineda lot achievements and many departments has already done some related work inpower supply information management, it fails to meet the requirements of tractionpower supply management and operation, since each department only focuses on theinformation construction aiming at the business of their own and thus produces variessystems with different characteristics but difficult to share information with.Therefore, it is quite necessary to design and study information system of themanagement of traction power supply. This thesis sets the power supply section inNanchang as an example to design and develop a set of information managementsystem for the traction power supply section. This thesis studies and analyzes theconstruction of the whole system and its major functions based on the research on theneeds of the Nanchang power supply section. This system is developed using B/Sstructure, Apache sever and PHP language, while the database management system isMySQL. Besides, the thesis also analyzes and designs the overall program of thesystem, the construction of the system and the safety of the system. It also gives adetailed design for the division of each system and its functions, including the detaileddesign for flow diagram of each model and database; finally, it gives an explanationfor the realization of this system based on the actual utilization situation in Nanchangpower supply section.The development of this system enhances the transparency of management, improves the effectiveness of management and standardizes the process of business.What’s more, with the development of the device-operation management system, wecannot only make cadres at the basic levels free from the fussy filling-in of thestanding books and other statistical work, but also shorten the management distanceby progress chart of equipment maintenance and the visual display of all statisticaltables. It provides the decision makers with timely correct information anddecision-making basis in order to achieve a standardized, normalized and scientificmanagement of railway power supply.
