The Study And Design Of Vehicle Traveling Data Recorder Based On Embedded System

Vehicle traveling data recorder, an electronic instrument that can monitor and record thevehicle traveling state and regulate the driver’s driving behavior, which can effectively reduce theincidence of traffic accidents, the design choice of embedded system development system as avehicle traveling data recorder.Embedded system software and hardware can be cut, full-featured, high reliability, low cost,small size, low power consumption, has been widely used in the manufacturing, industrialcontrol, defense, communications, automotive electronics and other fields.In this paper, thedesign of the vehicle traveling data recorder is a new electronic devices based on embeddedsystems, the use of embedded processors companies by SAMSANG into production of theS3C2440A.S3C2440A has a rich set of peripherals and I/O port, powerful, highly integrated, lowpower consumption.The design uses the operating system Linux system, Linux is under the GPLopen source operating system, when used without the need to pay licensing fees.In this paper, the vehicle traveling data recorder’s system design and development arediscussed in detail from both hardware and software. On the hardware side, first, it describes theoverall system structure, and then the selection of function modules and the structure of circuitswere discussed in detail. Finally, the circuit design of the GPS, GPRS, data acquisition andstorage modules was completed. On the software side, first, the establishment of the hostdevelopment environment was introduced, including the installation of the Linux system and theestablishment of arm-linux cross toolchain. Secondly, the establishment process of the embeddedLinux system was introduced, including the transplantation of the Bootloader and Linux-2.6kernel on the target board. At last, the development of system software was discussed, includingthe programming of low-level driver and upper application. And the functions of the systempassed the test.
