Tian Yi was a Chinese-Language ten-day magazine. It was published in Tokyo,Jun.1907by Liu Shipei and He Zhen. The magazine primarily insisted Anarchismand feminism revolution thesis. The magazine’s anarchism was a fusion of Chineseand Western. Liu Shipei presented the Chinese-Anarchism, which combined WesternAnarchism and Taoism. The magazine’s feminism revolution thesis was founded onits anarchism. The core of the thesis was the absolute equality between male andfemale, which was suggested as the social problem by He Zhen. The magazine wasclosely related with the connection between Chinese and Japanese socialists andtheir revolutionary activities. As a Japanese socialist, Koutoku Shusui was mosthugely influential to the magazine. Fukuda Hideko, a forerunner of JapaneseWomen’s Rights Movement, had the similar idea with He Zhen in women’semancipation. The relationship between Tian Yi and Min Bao, the officialpublication of the United-League, and the relationship between Tian Yi andSocialism-Lecture, show the understanding to Anarchism, Socialism andCommunism by the Chinese and Japanese revolutionists.
