Higher vocational college students as a contemporary college students, not onlyhas the common psychological characteristics of contemporary college students allmany, but also has the characteristics of its own. Students in Higher Vocational Collegeis a college of higher education in China, relative to the undergraduate college students,college students have their own unique psychological characteristics, the majority ofthem are criticized by the teacher in a middle school, a lot of people have not beenpraised by the teacher; vocational college students most experienced the failure of thecollege entrance examination, experience in the received information and failureexperience more negative in the higher vocational college students’ self-confidence, toreduce a little. This study based on the literature review, through combiningself-confidence training intervention and individual psychological counseling method toimprove vocational college students’ self-confidence, self-confidence of students inhigher vocational colleges are analyzed, influence factors of self-confidence trainingtheory to design intervention programs, by eight a unit of the training, and graduallytraining students self-confidence, finally the rational-emotive therapy for psychologicalcounseling on the case, let students establish reasonable cognitive models, and cognitivemodel of reasonable migration to the daily life of students, improve students’confidence.This study adopts Bi Chongzeng, Huang Xiting for youth students self-confidencequestionnaire were quantified research on vocational college students self-confidence,through the analysis of the preliminary questionnaire, selected40students as the objectof this intervention study, divided into the experimental group and the control group, theexperiment group for two months, every week a self-confidence training, while thecontrol group did not do any training. After training, the experimental group and controlgroup before and after the test results are analyzed, and the tracking survey in fiveweeks, at the end of the case of rational-emotive therapy do counseling outcomeevaluation, through qualitative and quantitative analysis, this study reached thefollowing conclusions: 1、 Higher Vocational College Students’ confidence in the medium level, degree ofeach factor is in turn: the achievements of self-confidence, interpersonal confidence,quality of self-confidence, self-confidence to intelligence, reply confidence.2、 Boys and girls in the achievement of self-confidence, interpersonal confidence Thequality of self-confidence, self-confidence intelligence, reply confidence five factorswere significantly; The boys in intellectual self-confidence, interpersonal confidence,quality of confidence, with confidence, five dimensions of achievement confidenceis significantly higher than female.3、 The only-child and non-only-child, urban and rural students, single and non single-parent students difference in coping factor significantly; Only students than the onlychild students have higher coping confidence; city students are higher than the ruralstudents with self-confidence; single-parent students than single-parent studentshave higher reply confidence.4、The only-child and non-only-child, urban and rural students, single and non single-parent students self-confidence, self-confidence, achievement of interpersonalquality confidence, wisdom four factors have no significant differences.5、Self-confidence training can improve students’ confidence, and have long-term effect.6、In this study, subjects through rational emotive therapy after consultation, theirconfidence improved obviously.
