At present, the family,as the cell of the society,is also changing with the rapid development of the economy. The urban family of our country is in the important period of transition from tradition to modern and even postmodern, family conflicts will inevitably arise. In the young couple group, the birth and rearing process of the newborn leads to great changes in family life, and to a certain extent, the problem of emotional neglect between the couple is generated. The change of family pattern in the new era requires young couples to not only seek a balance between traditional family relationship and modern family relationship, but also find a proper balance between work and family. If we can’t cope with this challenge well, family conflicts will ensue, which will affect the harmony between couples and the stability of the family. This paper first reviews the literature on rational emotion therapy model, emotional neglect phenomenon and husband and wife relationship, focusing on the content of irrational belief in rational emotion therapy model and the relevant research on husband and wife relationship in social work majors at home and abroad. The overall goal of this intervention is to help the client couple abandon irrational beliefs, establish rational thinking and behavior habits, and get rid of bad emotions,so as to achieve the intervention effect of enhancing the couple’s emotions and maintaining family stability. Its specific purposes include: 1.Assisting the client to solve emotional distress,so that the client can see hope for change in her husband; The second is to improve the communication methods between husband and wife,so that they can learn to communicate correctly and effectively; The third is to increase the participation of the client’s husband in the child-rearing process,so that the husband can take on more childcare responsibilities; The fourth is to correct the wrong concept of the role of the family,so that each member can have a correct understanding of his or her role and responsibilities. After establishing professional relationships and completing relevant preparations, social workers divided the intervention process into four stages: finding irrational beliefs and family system support problems, refuting unreasonable beliefs, strengthening family system support, establishing reasonable beliefs, creating good interpersonal support relationships and strengthening reasonable beliefs, and maintaining good learning results. After completing the intervention plan, the social worker evaluated the intervention process from different perspectives, such as service intervention, client performance, satisfaction with service intervention effect, and comparison of irrational belief scale scores. Finally, the casework is summarized and reflected, the feasibility, effectiveness and fit of the service access process are summarized, and the specific practice of the case-service intervention process and rational emotion therapy model is reflected. It is hoped that through this research,it can provide practical experience for social work to intervene in the problem of couples’ emotional neglect and promote family harmony and stability.
