Learning Chinese language in every nation of the world need to increase rapidly, Korea is not an exception. People whom are willing to learn Chinese have increased in numbers, some chose Chinese language Comprehensive study in the Department of Chinese language in Universities. Even more important is the rising number of Korean high school students choosing Chinese language as their second language. There’s a possibility that these students who are learning Chinese language in High school as their second language will keep on growing.Foreign language education classrooms in Korean high schools have been using teaching methods to teach Chinese language. Using video works to develop Chinese language teachings, although we cannot substitute the actual Chinese language environment, apart from video teaching tools we can give students a visual auditory and other external motivations, a language environment can also be created. Practice has been proved, that the using of visual media to develop language teaching is to help draw the learners’ interest in learning, it helps improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the development of comprehensive literacy.This thesis analyzes the current situations of Chinese courses in Korean high school and students’demands, Teachers and students’requirements and theoretical basis, Analyzing video works application problems in Chinese language classroom in Korean high school, pointing out its value and role, combination of video works <<Home with kids>> and teaching design, Korean high school Chinese language classrooms proposing related recommendations.This thesis consists of5parts, among which these, the second and the fifth are the main chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, including illustration of the significance, the research situation of the related studies in China and South Korea, as well as the concentrations, difficulties, meaning and the research methodology.The second chapter presents the results and discussion of the survey. Ⅰ conducted a survey based on Chinese language classes in Korean high schools. Some problems in Chinese language teaching in high schools in South Korea were found, and the altitude and requirements of Chinese language learning with Chinese movie and television products for teachers and students in high schools in Korea were clarified.The third chapter describes the theoretical basis, characteristics, teaching functions of video works, providing of theoretical proof and academic support to Chinese language teaching with movie and television products, revealing the principles and way of thinking in movie and television products selections in Chinese language teaching in high schools in Korea.The fourth chapter demonstrates movie and television products <<ome with Kids>> analysis, its value and functions in vocabulary, grammar, incitement of students’ interests in learning Chinese language and improvement of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.The fifth chapter is the course design. In this chapter, a class teaching plan based on Home with Kids is designed, and related suggestions and opinions are presented.I really hope that the description circumstances of this thesis will bring thoughts and enlightenments in class of teaching Chinese language in Korean high schools.
