This thesis is to analyze the study of Asian Indian skilled immigrants after1965to discussthe issue of brain drain and brain circulation. After World War Ⅱ, with the development ofeconomics, particularly the rise of high-tech industry, American society is in a transitionperiod of from the industrial society to post-industrial society, so labor force especiallytechnical personnel is needed. Therefore after World War Ⅱ especially1965later, the UnitedStates made different policy to attract talent. After independence in1947, India spent a verylong time to explore a way to develop their economy. After1990, India is a rapid economicdevelopment. Indian society is in a transition period of from the agricultural society toindustrial society. After1965, a large number of skilled immigrants from India to the UnitedStates, the social and economic development for the United States had made greatcontributions. At the same time, these immigrants also continue to strengthen their ties withIndia. Because of this phenomenon, scholars began to discuss on the issue of the brain drainand brain circulation. This thesis will focus on the analyze of the history and the causes andthe impact of American Indian skilled immigrants after World War Ⅱ, research the differentviews of brain drain and brain circulation, in order to achieve the purpose of a correctunderstanding of this phenomenon.The preface mainly introduces the foundation on which this topic is chosen. It includescurrent research situations at home and abroad, as well as methodology and deficiencies. Andfinally, some main concepts are also defined and explained in this part.The first part is based through a lot of data to analyze the waves of immigrants after WorldWar Ⅱ, highlight the history of Indian skilled immigrants, the composition of Indian skilledmigration and the employment situation. The main intention is to describe the case of Indianskilled immigrants.The second part is to discuss the cause of migration of the Indian skilled immigrants. Itwill mainly analyze from the two aspects of the United States and India. On the one hand, itwill analyze the policies of the United States and the attractiveness of the environment, on theother hand, it will analyze India factors.The third part is to discuss the impact of Indian skilled immigrants to the United Statesand India and the issue of brain drain. Indian skilled immigrants provides a large number ofintellectual labor force to the United States, they created many enterprises and stimulateeconomic growth. Meanwhile, Indian skilled immigrants contributed to the development ofIndia, especially in the software industry. The conclusion summarizes the whole paper and point out the emergence of skilledimmigrants in India is due to the different national conditions of the United States and India.Indian skilled immigrants in United States have a great influence on the development of theUnited States and India. But after all, for India, the current situation is still brain drain.
