Private universities, as an important part of China's higher education, have made great contributions to our higher education, and meanwhile have the profound influences on the cause of our higher education. With the rapid development of private universities in China, the challenge for human resources management will become more and more severe, this is because of the short time of private universities' foundation, lack of successful experience, over-pursuit of the profits in school managements, and even worse the unscientific or backward philosophies of management and personnel, which unavoidably lead to the serious brain drain, cause the teaching system in private universities is unstable, affect the overall quality of private universities, and finally prevent the sustainable development of private universities.As the increasingly heated competitions among private universities become more and more fierce, human resources management officials need to face a transformation from the traditional personnel management to modern human resources management. This paper is going to be based on the serious phenomenon of brain drain of private universities in our country, take the problems of brain drain in A university as the research subject, and use the theories of public management and incentive mechanism to analyze and explore the problems of brain drain in private universities. Besides, by means of analyzing the status quo and influence factors of brain drain in private universities, referring to the research results of brain drain from oversea private universities, and combining the measures of hindering brain drain in A university in recent years, this paper also put forward some strategies and suggestions for the brain drain in private universities from the aspects of our government, the related department of education, private universities, and teachers in order to provide some useful references for human resource management officials in private universities and contribute a few benefits to our private higher education in China.
