Literature can be divided into the writer literature and folk literature, the resource of aestheticeducation cannot live without these two parts. The choice of the middle school language text shouldalso give consideration to the writer literature and folk literature, reasonable selections from theresource configuration to make aesthetic education resources was optimized. However, from the7,8,9,10set text to a junior high school of People’s education press, the number of folk literature fromthe many to less, the part of the folk literature from having to no, which increasingly shows the folkliterature resources absent and weakening in the aesthetic education. In addition, the aestheticsubject of teacher lack of initiative, the rush of modern way of life, the blind worship of westernculture and the neglecting of local folk literature resources, which cause the blank selections of thefolk literature, influence the work of aesthetic education function. With the quickening develop ofglobalization and the rise of diversified education, it put forward higher request to aestheticeducation, which make us reflect on the aesthetic education. Comparing with the writer literature ofgeneral sense, the unique discipline attribute and the research object of folk literature determines thefolk literature has a special aesthetic education function. Folk literature of Chinese minoritynationalities has the aesthetic of common folk literature; also have their unique aesthetic personality,which has important value for the esthetic education of reality diversified demand. The differentgenre folk literature has different aesthetic characteristics, such as myth, folk tales, folk stories andso on. The function of folk literature aesthetic education can be expressed as nurture the aestheticsubject ‘s imagination to verbal language and aesthetic, influencing the aesthetic subject in humanbeauty and culture of beauty, culturing the judgment of aesthetic, expanding horizons of aestheticculture and improve realm of personality. This paper face the situation of folk literature aestheticeducation which is weaken, affirmed the aesthetic connotation of folk literature and aestheticeducation function, discussed the related strategy that folk literature can be aesthetic educated,proposed some ways that how to strengthen the aesthetic education of folk literature under the newsituation, that is, attention to the resources constitute of aesthetic education, realize the textselection’s diversity; give full play to the teachers which played as aesthetic subject; as theexperiment, the school can compiling native folk literature school-based materials.
