Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the inheritance and development of traditional culture has become an important task in the development process of various undertakings of the country with the proposals of national development concepts such as "cultural confidence" and "cultural power".The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools released in 2017 even listed cultural inheritance and development as one of the four essential Chinese core qualities for the growth of teenagers,which plays an important guiding role in the reform of Chinese education in the future.The inclusion of folk literature as an excellent representative of Chinese traditional culture in textbooks is a response to the current trend of cultural development.Since ancient times,folk literature has been an important material for Chinese education.Since the establishment of modern Chinese education system,folk literature has also occupied an important position in Chinese textbooks.This thesis is based on the change of times from one class and many books to the unified edition and takes the selection and compilation of Chinese textbooks as the research content.After some investigation and comparison,this paper selects four representative Chinese textbooks for junior middle school,namely,the old People's Education Edition,the Jiangsu Education Edition,the Beijing Normal University Edition and the Shanghai Education Edition,and compares the above four editions with the unified edition of Chinese textbooks for junior middle school that have only been put into use in recent years.In this study,comparative analysis,case analysis,quantitative analysis,literature analysis and other methods are adopted to grasp the selection and compilation of folklore works in each edition of textbooks,starting from three distinct independent systems in the four constituent systems of Chinese textbooks,namely,text selection,reading aid and exercise system.The purpose is to summarize the generality and individuality,strengths and weaknesses of the selection of folk literature in the era of multiple editions of textbooks through the comparison of various editions of textbooks,and take this as the coordinate system to investigate the development and shortcomings of the selection of folk literature in the unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks,so as to put forward constructive suggestions for the teaching of the selection of folk literature in the new unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks gradually put into use in 2016 and the improvement of the selection of folk literature in the future textbooks.In general,the selected articles of folk literature in the unified edition of junior middle school Chinese textbooks have not changed much compared with the old edition of PEP,but the selection quality has been improved to a certain extent,which is particularly significant in the reading aid and practice system.These two systems are not only unified in form,but also effectively refined in content,which fully demonstrates the concept of writing Chinese textbooks with the four major Chinese core qualities as the teaching target.However,while a large number of selected texts have been retained,many shortcomings have also remained.The problems existing in the selection and compilation of many folklore works of the era of one syllabus and multiple texts have not been effectively improved,such as the imbalance of style proportion,the invariable selection of texts,and the lack of time in the selection of texts have also become significant problems in the selection and compilation of folklore in the unified edition textbooks.In the face of the above problems,the author puts forward suggestions from the perspectives of selection and teaching,hoping to make up for the above problems in the selection and compilation of folklore works in the edition textbooks by improving the selection and compilation of folklore works and optimizing the teaching methods of teachers,so as to promote the deep reading and learning of folklore texts of junior high school students and promote the inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
