This paper is intended to explore the problem behavior status of the lowerprimary students and manners of parental rearing.the investigation was based onvariable difference analysis.As a result,a model of the relationship between the two isput forward in this paper,which is also intended to help the parents improve theirmanners of rearing and thus to better the psychological health of the lower primarystudents.With questionnaire built by us,the the Conners’rating scale was adopted tomeasure the status of the problem behavior.The Measurement of Parental RearingPatterns Scale,was adopted to measure the parental rearing patterns.The authorinvestigated489lower primary students,272of whom are males and217females.Allof the data were recorded into computer and were processed by SPSS17.0.My research indicates:1、The situation of the problem behavior of primary school students is higherthan norm,there are some problem. Male and female students in general, there is nogender difference, but there were significant differences in anxiety and hyperactivityfactor. The status of the problem behavior of freshmen and sophomores was nosignificant difference, but in the type of family occupational point of view, there weresignificant differences in psychosomatic problems and anxiety factor.2、 The parents of lower primary students tend to adopt democratic andauthoritarian rearing patterns, Few of them adopt the spoil styles,a father is apt toignore his child;There are interaction between grade,sex on the family rearing patternscore and spoil factor,and the interaction is very significant in the inconsistency factor.Parents’requirements to girls differ from those to boys, parents from girls’ familyare tend to adopt the spoil and inconsistency rearing patterns.The difference of thefamily rearing pattern was not significant in the grade;Family rearing patterns wasdifferent because of different parents’educational level,The survey indicates,thehigher parents eduction,the parents from the higher educational level more likely totake the democratic family upbringing; There is no significant difference in mannersof parental rearing from teachers to non-teachiers’family.3、Children’s problem behaviors and each factor of parental rearing patterns has asignificant correlation,Among all factors of parental rearing patterns,the democraticfactor and problem behavior was negatively correlated and other factors was a significant positive correlation. This shows that democracy rearing pattern conduciveto the prevention and suppression of children’s problem behavior, and other rearingstyles easily lead to the occurrence of child problem behavior, exacerbated by thedevelopment of children’s problem behavior.Base on the above conclusions,a few deducational suggestions are put forwardfor improving the status of children’s problem behavior.and enabling the parental stylescientific.
