The Research On The Communication Between Graduate Students And Supervisors

Graduate students education is the highest level of education in our national education structure and it makes a great contribution to bring up the high-quality and high-level innovative talents for the national modernization construction. Supervisors are responsible for training graduate students during the graduate education process and the intercommunication between supervisors and graduate students lasts throughout the graduate students’entire study period, so good intercommunication between graduate students and supervisors can directly affects the efficiency and effectiveness of the education and training goals. It is becoming more and more important to study the impact of factors affecting intercommunication between supervisors and graduate students, for it can provide a good reference to further enhance graduate students’ education and promote relationships between each other and improve the school’s education management. This study analyzes the transmission of information and feedback in learning, scientific research, living and life guide between supervisors and graduate students which defined teacher and student intercommunication in this study and explore it from three dimension like the communication intention, communication process and communication effect.Author made an investigation on500graduate students and56supervisors in one famous university of Hunan and found that the intercommunication between supervisors and graduate students is better than good but not perfect. Author made a study of the difference in intercommunication between different demographic backgrounds of graduate students and supervisors which shows that:1.The overall communication difference of graduate students is significant between different gender, different grades and different subjects, with or without scientific research echelon supporting. In addition to the difference in the communication effect of different gender, communication process of different subjects and with or without scientific research echelon supporting in three dimensions of communication are not significant, the other difference is significant. The difference of overall communication, communication intention and communication effect are not significant but the communication process is significant for the graduate students with or without work experience;2. The difference of overall communication and three dimensions of communication are not significant for different gender, different ages, different years of teaching, different titles and with or without the administrative duties of supervisors.The communication between graduate students and supervisors is not satisfactory, from communication main parties and communication environments (school education administration) to analysis the reason, Finally, recommend advice for improving the communication between graduate students and supervisors, for graduates and supervisors, to strengthen mutual understanding, to adjusting each roles and improving communication skills; for graduate students, improved quality of scientific research to enhance personal capital, correct learning motivation, strengthen the communication initiative, enhance self-professional identity; for supervisors, strengthen the comprehensive quality improve their appeal, set up the innovative talent training for the purpose of communication view, improve guidance way, do it for guidance, clear supervisor duties and strengthen responsibility; for school managers, creating the good learning environment to improve the college communication atmosphere for graduates and supervisors, improve the graduate students education system, school culture atmosphere and supervisors management system.
