In recent years, the employment of college graduates has become an important social problem. According to statistics, around20million people require to be employed in China in2010. Even China’s annual economic growth is10%, and every1%economic growth creates0.8-1million jobs each year, nearly10million people can not be employed in2010. Overall supply exceeding demand in the labor market, coupled with the lack of work experience as well as students’cognitive bias, college students’employment situations are not optimistic. In the resolution of students’ employment, promoting entrepreneurial education and encouraging graduates to start up their own businesses is an effective way. But when it comes to how to encourage entrepreneurship, each university has taken a different policy. Some colleges and universities have put resources in entrepreneurship curriculum’s while others have put in entrepreneurial practice resources instead. Additionally, some schools are offering a uniform policy for all students equally while others are targeting on the students who behave or think in a more entrepreneurial way. How to be more productive to fuel entrepreneurship in universities is one of the more difficult problems to be resolved. In order to resolve this problem, we need to know what factors affect students’entrepreneurial intentions, which is the major purpose of this study.Firstly, this article defined the personality characteristics, entrepreneurship environment in universities and students’ entrepreneurial intention based on extensive literature review. At the same time, analyzed and summarized the literature of entrepreneurial intentions of College Students. Secondly, according to the previous literature, this article proposed a research framework and10corresponding hypotheses. Thirdly, in order to be able to test the hypotheses, an appropriate questionnaire survey was designed and conducted. The questionnaire included a total of four parts, which were used to measure the students’personal backgrounds, psychological characteristics, and the entrepreneurial intention. The questionnaire survey has collected a total of212valid questionnaires from three universities in Jinan, and the study used descriptive statistical analysis, single factor analysis of variance and regression analysis to analyze and process212valid questionnaires. Also, I did a horizontal comparison of the current entrepreneurial environment of the three universities in Jinan, at the same time, demonstrated the proposed10hypotheses and drew an conclusion, which was students’ gender, major, whether an entrepreneurial family, and individual achievement motivation, risk orientation, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial practices had a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention while educational level, locus of control, and entrepreneurial spirit did not affect entrepreneurial intention significantly. Finally, according to the previous analysis results of processing, some suggestions were proposed to improve universities’ entrepreneurial education and encourage college students in more effective ways to become entrepreneurs.
