Learning responsibility is a conscientious attitude, refers to which students should be responsible for their learning activities. The study aims to develop a tool to measure the middle school students’ learning responsibility, and scientifically cultivating students’ responsibility conscientious and behavior for study as well. The meaning of the study is to help students better adapted to the middle school study requirements, strengthen the psychological guidance in learning, and improve the middle school students’ mental health.Using Likert scale designing techniques, the study designs a single dimension Middle School Students’ Learning Responsibility Questionnaire, the results prove that the questionnaire has satisfactory psychometrics characters, including good reliability and validity.Then the study researches the current situation of middle school students’ learning responsibility through the questionnaire investigation, the results reveal that:①There are significant grade difference and family parenting style difference among middle school students’ learning responsibility levels, the interaction among gender, grade, and family parenting style is remarkable;②In Junior one and Junior two, among the group whose family parenting style are authoritative, the girls’ learning responsibility levels are significantly higher than the boys’;③Among the students whose family parenting style are authoritative, the Junior one students’ learning responsibility levels are significantly higher than the Junior two students’, the Senior one students’, and the Senior two students’, the Junior two students’ learning responsibility levels are significantly higher than the Senior two students’, there is no significant difference between Senior one and Senior two;④Among the girls in Junior two, students with the authoritative parenting style and the authoritarian parenting style have a significantly higher learning responsibility levels than students with the neglectful parenting style and the indulgent parenting style, among the girls in Senior two, students with the authoritative parenting style and the authoritarian parenting style have a significantly higher learning responsibility levels than students with the neglectful parenting style, among the boys in Junior one, Junior two, Senior one, Senior two, there is no significant family parenting style difference.Finally, combined with the investigation results, the researcher make a number of recommendations on middle school students’ learning responsibility training:①Considering the gender difference, schools and parents should teach students according to their aptitude;②Based on the different developing features of different grades, the school educators should timely consolidate and strengthen middle school students’ learning responsibility levels;③The mental health educators should deepen students’ experience of learning responsibility with many interesting activities;④Parents should remedy the deficiency of current family parenting style in appropriate way.
