| Purpose：To investigate the clinical effect and security of RuanjianJieduDecoction to treat Atherosclerosis and discuss the action mechanism of theTraditional Chinese Medicine therapy, so as to open up new avenues ofAtherosclerosis treatment.Material and method：60patientswithAtherosclerosiswererandomlydividedinto2groups.The treatment group was diagnosed in30patients (male14, female16;age49-92, average65.3±8.2years);and the control group also included30patients (male15, female15;age54-80, average67.4±8.5years).There was nosignificant difference between two groups on Methods General status(P>0.05).Thetreatment group treated by RuanjianJiedu Decoction with Biejia、Sanleng、Whitethorn、Huangling、Songzhen、Haizao and Huangshi and took a dose twice dailyfor3months.And the control group treated by Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets andtook a does once20mg daily for3months.The clinical study point at the contrastof Atherosclerosis’ clinical and biological data before and after treatment,such as according to the clinical observation of blood fat and C-reaction proteinthen assess the different efficacy between the therapy of RuanjianJieduDecoction and Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets.Results：1. The treatment group lower the C-reaction protein, cholesterol and low-densitylipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) better than the control group.2. The Chinese materia medica preparation has no significant influence onpatients’ respiration,pulse,body temperature,blood pressure,and routine blood,urine and excrement,without toxic or side effect or any adverse reaction.Conclusion：1. RuanjianJiedu Decoction could lower patients’ C-reactive protein,cholesterol, triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and increase their high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).2. RuanjianJiedu as a main therapy is very effective and safe for treatingAtherosclerosis.3. The therapy of Ruanjian Jiedu decoction as a new way is one of the most effectivetreatment of the Atherosclerosis. |
