The Points On The Surface Of The Correlation Between Physical Characteristics Change And Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion

Objective By clinical observation, to find out the correlation between the lubarintervertebral disc protrusion and the changes of physical characteristics on theappearance of the auricular point. Try to explore the changes of physicalcharacteristics on the appearance of the auricular point in the diagnosis of the lubarintervertebral disc protrusion. It provides a simple method to clinical diagnose for thelubar intervertebral disc protrusion and the disease severity.Methods50patients with lubar intervertebral disc protrusion were set asobservation group, while42patients without lumbocrural pain were set as controlgroup. All the patients came from The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing MedicineUniversity (JiangSu Province Hospital). Though the history taking, observed andrecorded the changes of tenderness, vessel, skin and morphology on the auricularpoint (Lumbosacral Vertebrae), calculated chromatism of the auricular point and usedthe table of VRSs-4to evaluate the pain degree. To examined the pars lumbalis byDirect Digital X-ray Photography System, so that we can figure out the correlationbetween the lubar intervertebral disc protrusion and the changes of physicalcharacteristics on the appearance of the auricular point.Result There was statistical differences (P<0.01) between the numeric value ofchromatism of the observation group was (90.06±11.64)NBS, and that of the controlgroup was (33.67±4.00) NBS. There were statistical differences (P<0.01) betweentwo groups of the changes of tenderness, vessel, skin and morphology on theauricular point.Conclusion1. The changes of physical characteristics on the appearance of theauricular point (Lumbosacral Vertebrae) do have correlation with lubar intervertebraldisc protrusion.2. The changes of tenderness, vessel, skin and morphology on the auricular point can reflect the severity of lubar intervertebral disc protrusion.3. Thechanges of vessel, skin and morphology on the auricular point (LumbosacralVertebrae) can direct the treatment of acupuncture.
