Clinical Research Of Navel-moxibustion With Chinese Medicine On Treating Lubar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion With The Blood Stasis Type

Objective:Observe the clinical efficacy of the Navel-moxibustion with Chinese medicine on treating patients with Lubar intervertebral disc protrusion(LIDP) with the blood stasis type according to quantify and assess the effective treatment objectively.Methods: 60 patients of LIDP with cold-dampness were divided into two groups randomly, a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases for each group.The treatment group were treated with the Navel-moxibustion with Chinese medicine twice a week, four times for a course, and lasted for 4 courses. And the control group were treated with the common acupuncture everyday, take a rest after six days,12 days for a course, and lasted for 4 courses. Compared the symptoms and signs score of the patients before and after treatment, to determine the efficacy of the treatment.Results:1.Compared the efficacy of the two groups after treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.6% while the control group was 93.3%. There was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).2. Compared the lumbocrural VAS score of the two groups, waist VAS score was significantly decreased in both groups after treatment(P < 0.05), the comparison between the two groups had no significant difference(P > 0.05).3. Compared the function of lumbar disorders JOA score of the two groups, the JOA scores of the patients of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment(P < 0.05), there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).4. Compared Hemorheology index changes of the two groups, Hemorheology index changes of the patients of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment(P < 0.05), there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Navel-moxibustion with Chinese medicine therapy is one of effective methods to treat the Lubar intervertebral disc protrusion(LIDP) with cold-dampness syndrome, and it is also one kind of effective method to prevent and treat of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. It is also safe non-toxic, green environmental and more acceptant by the patients.
