With the changing of life in modern society, working and living style changes a lot. The incidence of cervical spondylosis is rising up. And more and more young patient affect by this disease. An international research refers to the cervical intervertebra1disc, and degenerative change of joint degenerative nerve, spinal cord, caused by the corresponding performance and vascular damage symptoms and signs. The disease can be divided into the neck type, cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, vertebral artery type, sympathetic nerve type. Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy is the highest incidence of other types of cervical spondylosis.In this research, we systemic review literature of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. In Chinese medicine, it often belongs to "bi-zheng" and "neck shoulder pain" or "dizzy". In Chinese Medicine theory, this disease belongs to asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality, and complex of asthenia and sthenia. The root is kidney deficiency, the experience is qi for wind, cold, and dampness invades body. And at the same time, it cause blood stasis. Traumatic injury also is the important factor. Acupuncture and moxibustion, massage, and Chinese herbal medicine are the main solutions. In western medicine, degeneration of cervical vertebrae, its joints, muscles, and ligaments is the main reason for this disease. Another main reason is strain. Degeneration can cause strain, and at the same time, strain can increase degeneration. They form an infernal circle. Pain often accompanies with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, mechanical pressure, chemisty radiculitis, neuropathic pain mediums and auto immunity are related to the pain.In this research, I summary my teacher’s personal experience. We think this disease affect jinglou or jingjin. The ill side is at hand-san-yang channel, foot-taiyang channel, Du vessel, and jiaji points. Especially affect hand taiyang, foot taiyang and Du vessel. Point selecting principle is according to the channel. Massage can release neck muscle spasm, loose adhesions, reduce the presser of inervertebra1disk. Through this reduce the stimulation and press ion of spinal nerves, reach the aim of lessen clinical symptoms. While we apply Chinese herbal medicine, zheng diiiferentiation-treatment must be furrow. We often use dispelling wind-evil medicines, activating blood circulat ion medicines, dissipate blood stasis medicines, warm medicines, reinforcing medicines, dissipate phlegm medicines and some insect medicines.
