Interpersonal trust is defined in the interpersonal communication process, is a feeling ofsecurity that the individual has on the others to perform the entrusted duty or responsibility.Interpersonal trust reflects the individual for humanity’s basic views and attitudes,will affectthe individual’s look and judge in interpersonal relationships.The purpose of this study is tounderstand the current situation of College Students’ interpersonal trust, relations of thestudents’ self-esteem, perceived social support and interpersonal trust, provide somesuggestions and guidance to them,help them to enhance the level of interpersonal trust,establish a good interpersonal relationship, promote mental health. The conclusions of thisstudy are as follows:1.From the whole,college students’ self-esteem, perceived social support are at higherlevel,the overall level of interpersonal trust is lower than before;2.Gender main effect: girls’score in perceived social support and family supportdimension, outside of family support dimension are significantly higher than boys, girls’ scoreis significantly higher than boys’ in interpersonal trust;3.School type main effect: normal college students’ score in interpersonal trust aresignificantly higher than that of non normal college students;4.Grade main effect: the first grade students’ score in perceived social support andinterpersonal trust are significantly higher than that in the third grade;5.Interactions: the interaction of gender and grade in perceived social support, familysupport dimension are significant, the interaction of gender and grade in interpersonal trust issignificant;6.Relations of self-esteem, perceived social support and interpersonaltrust:self-esteem,perceived social support and family support dimension,outside of familysupport dimension are significantly positively correlated; self-esteem is positively correlatedwith interpersonal trust; perceived social support and family support, outside of familydimensions have a significant positive correlation with interpersonal trust;7.Regression analysis shows: self-esteem and perceived social support, outside of familysupport dimension both can effectively predict interpersonal trust; 8.Mediating effect test results show that perceived social support play a completeintermediary role in self-esteem and interpersonal trust.
