Psychodrama Therapy actually is one group counseling that has an integrated structure and has a large space to explore and solve the deep mental problem. This reseach is the first use of Psychodrama Therapy on undergraduate students’ relationship problem,and the effect of the therapy was evaluated and its mechanism was explored.Methods:In early two weeks March of 2015,part of the Undergraduate students including fresher,sophomore and junior in Binghai college of Nankai University were tested using Interpersonal Relationship Integrative Diagnostic Scale(IRIDS) and Interaction Anxiousness Scale(IAS). Finally 64 students were surveyed who met the criteria(IRIDS score was between 9 points to 14 points and IAS score wasn’t close to extremum) and voluntarily participated in this study. Then obeying the principle of sexually proportion, they were randomly assigned to two groups according to the random number table,32 subjects in control group and 32 subjects in the Psychodrama Therapy group.The latter group was divided into two groups to ensure well balanced course, and received continuous six weeks(once a week) of the Psychodrama Therapy(PT),while the control group participated in daily mental health education lectures.They were both assessed before and after treatment and six months after treatment,the evaluation tools include IRIDS, IAS, Interpersonal Trust Scale(ITS),Self Consistency and Congruence Scale(SCCS),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Self-Esteem Scale(SES),Questionnaire on Interpersonal Safety of College Student(QISCS).Results : Before the involvement, the two groups didn’t have significant differences in general as well as the appraisal index.(1)A significant decrease occurred in IRIDS score in PT group; After intervention, IRIDS score was significantly lower in PT group than that in control group.(2)IAS score after intervention decreased significantly compared with that of pre—intervention;Furthermore, IAS score was significantly lower than that of the control group.(3)After intervention,ITS score was significantly higher in PT group than that of pre-intervention;ITS score was significantly higher in PT Group than that in control group after the intervention.(4)A significant decrease occurred in SCCS total score, disharmony and stiffness factor score in PT group, and a significant increase occurred in flexibility factor score in PT group; After intervention,there was significant difference in SCCS total score and factor scores between two groups.(5)There were significant increase in PSSS total score and all factor scores in PT group;After intervention,there were significant difference in PSSS total score and all factor scores between two groups.(6)A significant increase occurred in SES total score in PT group;After intervention,there was significant difference in SES total score between two groups.(7)A significant decrease occurred in QISCS total score and factor scores in PT group;After involvement,between the two groups there was significant difference in QISCS total score and factor scores.Conclusion:(1)PT can significantly decrease the level of undergraduate students’ relationship problem;(2)PT can decrease the level of social anxiety;(3)PT can improve the interpersonal trust level of undergraduate students with relationship problem;(4)PT can improve the degree of self consistency and congruence;(5)PT can improve the level of perceived social support;(6)PT can improve the degree of Self-esteem;(7)PT can improve the level of interpersonal safety of undergraduate students with relationship problem;(8)The influence factors of PT on relationship problem : the improvement of relationship problem are closely related to the improvement of interpersonal trust, self consistency and congruence, social support, self-esteem, interpersonal safety;(9)As a short, efficiency and steady group counseling,PT has a broad applicable prospect to college students’ mental health. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Psychodrama therapy, Relationship problem, Interaction anxiousness, Interpersonal trust, Self consistency and congruence, Interpersonal safety, Perceived social support, Self-esteem | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
