Time is a dimension of personality. The personality difference in timedimension is the time management disposition which is the psychological andbehavioral characteristic shown by the way that individual uses his time.Self-esteem is the positive emotional experience that the individualacknowledges and evaluates the object of self(me) to the social subjects(including groups and others) and the main self(I) in social life, and the coreof which is the “judgment and experience of self-value”. The abidingself-esteem is a relatively stable personality tendency. Life satisfaction is thecomprehensive evaluation that the individual assesses the overall livingconditions of most time or continuously period according to their ownstandards, which belongs to the cognitive category of subjective well-being. Itis independent of the positive emotions and negative feelings of subjectivewell-being, and is a more effective indicator to measure subjective well-being.This research was based on the analysis of the time managementdisposition, self-esteem and life satisfaction on478postgraduate studentsfrom universities in Hohhot by questionnaire, and the results weredemonstrated as following:1. The total score and subscales of the postgraduate students’ timemanagement disposition had medium and upper degree, with no significantdifferences in gender, different family location, grades. In the sense of timevalue, the Mongolian students and other minority students achievedsignificance differences.2. Self-esteem of the postgraduate students had medium and upper degree.Female students had higher scores than male students in total self-esteem,social orientation general self-esteem, personal orientation general self-esteem,social orientation moral self-esteem, social orientation family self-esteem, andpersonal orientation family self-esteem. Urban students had higher scores thanthe rural students in social orientation interpersonal self-esteem, social orientation physical self-esteem, and personal orientation moral self-esteem.3. In addition to the image and performance, health status and academicdimensions, there were very significant differences in the rest of the lifesatisfaction dimensions, the postgraduate students scored higher thanstudents’ norm.4. There was significant positive correlation among time managementdisposition, self-esteem and life satisfaction. Through the regression analysis,time efficiency can be a predictor of life satisfaction; time efficiency can be apredictor of total self-esteem; the total self-esteem and the personalorientation general self-esteem had partially mediation between timeefficiency and general life satisfaction.According to the conclusion, the author gave the following advices:university should enhance to cultivate time management disposition ofpostgraduate students, launch the positive tropism activities for improvingself-esteem, strengthen the construction of campus culture, and create a goodcultural atmosphere on campus.In short, this paper is organized for enriching the research on postgraduatestudents’ life satisfaction and providing some significant and valuablereference to mental health education.
