In modern Chinese, there is a very limited number of Dummy verbs, But it is a verycharacteristic of the verb.It is only with verbs、adjectiveor or equivalent to the verb, adjectiveconversion words as object, composited the verb-object structure to express the significanceof disposal and the sifnificance of treat, although plays a certain syntactic and pragmaticfunction, but itself does not indicate the specific actions meanings, specific action or activitymeanings by the object of a verb to load. Such as”jinxing、jiayi、geiyi、jiyu、yuyi” and so on,the category verb is not only the noumenon focus of the study, is also one of the difficulties inteaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper, on the basid of previous studies, to further explore the features of theDummy verbs, based on the students’ acquisition of survey of the Dummy verb, analysis theerror types and reasons when they acquisited,and put forward the corresponding strategies forthe teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, in order to better serve the teaching Chinese asa foreign language.This thesis consists of five chapters:The first chapter, the main is to summed up the past research of the Dummy verb, inorder to find the direction of research, and detailed clarifies the purpose of choose this paperand significance of the research, To find the research deficiencies of the Dummy verb, inorder to determine the contents of this paper.The second chapter, he main is to research the characteristics of the Dummy verb,From the syntactic, semantic, pragmatic three aspects to in-depth research the itself featuresof the Dummy verb.The third chapter, the main is to investigation and analysis foreign language teachingpresent situation of the Dummy verb. In this chapter, the Dummy verbs of different level inthe <Chinese level words and Chinese characters grade> as the basis, study on thedistribution situation of the Dummy verbs in Chinese Textbooks, and the application situationof the Dummy verb.The fourth chapter, mainly elaborated the types and reasons of foreign students’ errors toacquisited the Dummy verb. Using inductive analysis of foreign students’ acquisition of errortypes and the summary of the reasons.The fifth chapter, the main is to analyzed the Dummy verb in teaching Chinese as aforeign language. mainly from the teaching principle, teaching method and the practicemethod of the Dummy verb three aspects to carry on the research.
