In modern Chinese,formal verbs belong to a special kind of verbs,and the number is extremely limited,such as " jinxing"," jiayi"," yuyi"," geiyi"," zuo" and so on.The particularity of this type of verbs is reflected in that they do not contain actual meanings,and their specific actions or behavioral meanings are assumed by the verb objects behind them.Because the semantics of formal verbs are relatively abstract and their usage is relatively complicated,there are many errors and types in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,formal verbs are not only the focus of the study of Chinese grammar ontology,but also a major difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.As a typical representative of formal verbs,the word " jinxing" is widely used and difficult to learn.This article takes the formal verb " jinxing" as the research object,and based on the existing research of scholars,from the perspective of the analysis of synonyms,combs the characteristics of the formal verb " jinxing" which is different from ordinary verbs.By analyzing the error corpus of foreign students,we classify the errors related to the formal verb " jinxing" and then analyze the specific reasons for the errors.According to the common types of errors,a reasonable instructional design for the formal verb " jinxing" is proposed.First,the thesis focuses on the three verbs of the formal verbs " jinxing" and "carry out"," hold" and " do"." Jinxing" and " carry out"," hold" and " do" all contain the meaning of engaging in a certain activity or performing a certain behavior,and the specific usage has its own characteristics.Based on the BCC corpus and the CCL corpus,by distinguishing the three groups of verbs " jinxing" and " carry out","jinxing" and " hold"," jinxing" and " do",we can see that the object behind " jinxing" can only be a verb.And it has continuous,abstract,and active semantic features,and is mostly used in written language.Second,collect errors from the HSK dynamic composition corpus and the written language corpus of foreign students.According to the characteristics of the use of the formal verb " jinxing",the types of errors are refined and the reasons for the errors are analyzed.Based on this,a questionnaire was designed for the foreign students of Lanzhou University,specifically expounding the misuse of the word "jinxing" by foreign students.Based on the collected error corpus and the analysis results of the questionnaire,the influencing factors of foreign students acquisition of the word " jinxing" are explored from the four perspectives of language itself,textbook layout,acquisition environment and learning strategies.Finally,according to the comprehensive consideration of teaching objectives,class time arrangement,teaching principles,teaching methods,etc.,in view of several typical errors common in the formal verb " jinxing",the relevant teaching plans are designed using sentence pattern teaching methods and synonymous comparison teaching,with a view to foreign students can learn formal verbs to improve their Chinese proficiency and provide certain help.
