Newspaper reading teaching in TCSL is a course of teaching Chinese throughreading newspaper. Learning this course can improve students’Chinese leveleffectively, moreover, it also makes the students generally know the Chinese culture,fundamental realities of Chinese, and its social background etc. It reveals thatnewspaper reading is not only a course to learn language, but it is a window for theworld to know the current situation of China. It is one of the most important coursesin the whole process of learning Chinese. Because newspaper reading teaching hasthree factors, such as specialty, big vocabulary, large amount of information, and thereading material is a little boring. Therefore, this course is regarded as the mostdifficult one to teach and learn by teachers and students respectively. This kind ofemotion, being afraid of difficulties, affects the atmosphere in classroom, what’s more,it also influents the efficiency of teaching.This thesis studies the current situation of newspaper reading teaching deeply inaccordance with the teaching record and questionnaire. Based on the formerresearchers’findings about it, this thesis suggests that the integrated teachingmethodology is used in teaching newspaper reading course, and tries to resolve thecurrent problems of newspaper reading teaching. Including various of teaching forms,the integrated teaching methodology involves most of advantages among otherteaching methodologies, which makes the boring study become an interesting oneowing to the teacher’s diversified teaching methods. It can enhance the effect ofteaching an interesting class and reduce students’fear feeling. Especially, theconclusion has been testified by pedagogy experiments. In the light of the observationof using the integrated teaching methodology in class, the researcher finds that theclass atmosphere is very active and students’learning status is obviously changed,particularly, the teachers’behaviors are in class. According to different readingmaterials, teachers practice students’listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability relying on their teaching plan in training, which improves students’comprehensivecapability of Chinese, obviously.The thesis consists of 4 chapters. Chapter 1 is the introductory part, in which thebackground and significance of the study are described, and then the theory frameworkof this thesis and the innovation are explained by the literature view of newspapersreading and integrated teaching methodology. Chapter 2 is the discussion aboutfeasibility analysis and theory basis of integrated teaching methodology in newspaperreading course. This part is the elaborated explorations of the analytical frameworkfrom the integrated teaching methodology perspective. Chapter 3 is the analysis andsurvey of current classroom situation of TCSL in newspaper reading course throughthe research forms of questionnaire and interview. Chapter 4 shows the actualize rulesand methods of integrated teaching methodology in newspaper reading teaching.
