The Study On Chinese Newspaper Reading Course

Chinese Newspaper Reading Course is one of the widely used Chinese courses by Chinese educational organization both at home and abroad. From 1980s till now, many scholars have conducted a wide range of studies into this area, including the position of Chinese newspaper, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching materials and other aspects. However, in practical teaching, the importance of Chinese Newspaper Reading has not been fully recognized and also the normalization of course needs to be strengthened. Meanwhile, there is no consensus among the scholars on the status of Chinese Newspaper Reading Course.Under this background, this paper attempts to further the study of the position of Chinese Newspaper Reading Course on the basis of research results in the past and try to provide some useful teaching suggestions by summarizing and analyzing the characteristics of Chinese newspapers language and the comparison between Chinese Newspaper Reading Course and Newspaper Courses in other language of China.Chapter one introduces the past research overview on the Chinese Newspaper Reading Course, divided into four aspects including the research status on positioning, content, teaching methods and teaching materials of Chinese Newspaper Reading Course.Chapter two discusses the positioning of Chinese Newspaper Reading Course, mainly from the"class type"and"course"perspective.Chapter three analyzes the characteristics of Chinese Newspaper Reading Course through the aspects of the vocabulary, fixed format and long sentences, structure and headings and discusses its meaning in teaching Chinese as a second language.Chapter four investigates and analyzes the teaching status and teaching materials in English Newspaper Reading Courses in China and discusses its revelation to Chinese Newspaper Reading Course and teaching material preparing.Chapter five makes some suggestions on Chinese Newspaper Reading teaching, including the use of internet and multimedia courseware in teaching and updating fixed materials, improving the systematization of temporary materials.
