There are many similarities and differences between the class-teaching mode and autonomous learning strategies in TCSL (Teach Chinese as Second Language)and TESL(Teach English as Second Lnguage). This article descirbes the teaching condition and other aspects such as design of class-teaching, compilation of text book and test in these two kinds of language teaching method in order to reveal the similarity and unique characteristics of them , broaden the reach field and help them learn from each other.This article investigates the classroom mode and opinion of teachers and students by classroom observation, interview, and questtionnaire.By means of analytics and comparison, it makes an analysis and comparison on servel aspects such as the concern of learning strategy, function of thecher, emphasis of class, atmosphere of the classroom and thecher's familiarity of target language, in order to contribute to the mutual development of Chinese and English teaching and learning.
