The international Chinese language education of idioms teaching isan important issue in Chinese culture, is the organic component ofinternational communication. Idioms because of its unique historical,geographical and rich, often become full of vitality in the regionallanguage, therefore foreign language teaching should attach importanceto the teaching of idioms. In this paper, use<<A dream of RedMansions>>idioms as object of study, because of <<A dream of RedMansions>> as one of the famous classical Chinese novels, with itssuperb use of language to Chinese classical novels language art to ahitherto unknown peak.<<A dream of Red Mansions>>in the idioms asthe representative of the large number of vernacular corpus, for themodern and contemporary Chinese have very important research value,which in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, but also has certainrepresentativeness, is a foreign student learning and understanding ofChinese culture, and the dream of the red chamber and its relatedteaching idioms research, also for the exploration of Chinese idiomsstructure, semantic feature and evolution of the basic track, to promoteChina’s foreign language teaching. This paper points out the significanceof the subject, of <<a dream of Red Mansions>>phrase types and features,focusing on<<a dream of Red Mansions>> idiom semantic teachingcontext and teaching. On the semantic teaching, this paper analyzes the<<a dream of Red Mansions>> idiom semantic richness, put forward in thesemantics of the teaching process, must closely the semantic analysis of,and through the character of identity, combined with foreign students’ cultural background to explain; in the context of teaching, to understandthe context of the vast, attention combined with the background ofChinese culture, man and specific situations, and foreign students’cultural background and personality factors analysis. In short, throughthis case study, to promote foreign language teaching goals.
