Materials, is the basis of the teaching activities of teachers, source of studentsacquire knowledge and skills, is one of the four major areas of teaching, whichoccupy a crucial position in the construction of the various disciplines, especially inteaching Chinese as a foreign language. The quality of teaching materials, which hasa large extent affect on students’ interest in learning, teaching effectiveness ofteachers and even the development of the subject. In the compilation of teachingmaterials, primary materials preparation is quite important and facing greatdifficulties.In this paper, on the comparative study of the text part, vocabulary section, thesimilarities and differences of grammar section of two textbooks.To propose somerecommendations in order to explore such basis of the use of textbooks and providesome suggestions for teachers and students.Except the introduction and epilogue, the main part of this paper is divided intothree parts:First of all, in the writing of the text, this paper form and subject matter contentfrom genre in two aspects of the two sets of textbooks for comparison research. Thegenre of the whole genre of the two sets of textbooks is daily dialogue andnarrative-based, genre types from the point of view,“Development Chinese” is a littlemore than “Boya Chinese”. And from the subject matter type perspective, two sets ofteaching materials are both rich and colorful,“Boya Chinese” subject to7,“development Chinese” to11. From the perspective of subject matter species, “development Chinese” is richer than “Boya Chinese”.Secondly, the total amount of new words, in accordance with the syllabus, thetotal amount of primary level Chinese learners should master2704words, inaccordance with the actual situation of the two sets of material, the overallperspective or basic conforms to the request of the teaching outline.Finally, from the grammar points of two sets of the teaching material.theaverage of two sets of textbooks of grammar points is reasonable. Each lesson is onaverage of2.5to2.7, the difficulty is relatively modest, more in line with the studentslearning the law. From two sets of textbooks syntax part,“Boya Chinese” and“Development Chinese” are both reasonable, more in line with the law of secondlanguage learning and Chinese characteristics, following the easy to difficult, insimple terms principles. In addition, the grammar part of the segmentation of the twosets of textbooks, have adopted a decentralized scheduling method, reasonablearrangements.All in all, as the same period foreign language textbooks,“Boya Chinese” and“Development Chinese” overall structure of the framework is quite similar, but thetwo sets of textbooks have some differences in handling of the preparation on the partof the text, grammar, vocabulary, etc. But in generally speaking, the two sets oftextbooks are different degrees of drawing on previous research results, althoughsome aspects are still having some problems, but compared with previous similarmaterials have had a large degree of progress. In the further compilation of teachingmaterials activities, I hope we are able to draw on two sets of teaching materials inthe preparation of flash, to avoid and correct the deficiencies in these two sets oftextbooks.
