Research For ICU Nurses’ Mental Health Status And Needs Of Psychological Counseling Requirement

Objective Based on the investigation and the analysis results, understand ICU nurses’mental health status and needs of psychological counseling requirement, discusses forinternal factors influence the demand of the basic characteristics of ICU nurses, physicaland mental status and psychological counseling demand, for psychological professionalworkers and nursing managers to provide an empirical basis.Methods （1）A questionnaire was made based on literature and pre-surve, Select themature psychological behavior scale.（2）Cross-sectional survey for140ICU nursesusing the questionnaire survey, the content includes: to design the general informationand psychological counseling demand scale, Symptoms self rating scale (SCL-90),scores of Self-rating Anxious and Depressive Scale(SAS/SDA)．A correlmion ofdemography characteristic(gender，age，academic career，professional title)andpsychological counseling requirement was analyzed using logistic-regression method．Results The results showed that ICU nurses SCL-90in somatization, forced symptoms,depression, anxiety, hostility and terror, paranoid, psychoticism and the number ofpositive were significantly higher than that of the domestic norm (P <0.05).72.3％ICUnurses had subjective requirement of psychological consult, which was significantlyinfluenced by night shift and contract relationship,there were positive correlationbetween scores of Self-rating Anxious and Depressive Scale with the degree ofrequirement(P<0.05)．Conclusion ICU nurses there are more serious psychological disorder, psychologicalhealth level is lower than the national norm. Psychological counseling requirement innursing staffs was reasonable，and had demography axiom（Contract nurses, Night shiftnumber of times the bulls）, Level of anxiety, depression, and were positively associated with the degree of demand.so the people of nursing supervision and nursing regulatorcould accord to this demography axiom in order to provide available assistance for ICUthe nursing staffs. Improve the ICU department nurses’ psychological health level, withhealthy psychology to adapt to the rapid development of social environment.
