Bu Chang Wenxin Granule For Treating Ventricular Premature Contraction

Objective： Evaluation of safety and efficacy of Buchang WenxinGranule in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (atrial premature beat,ventricular extrasystole).Methods：From Jan.2011to Mar.2012，64cases of patients werediagnosed with ventricular premature beat in the second hospital of JilinUniversity.They were respectively divided into the experimental group and theplacebo control group through randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlleddesign method,Patients were of no significant difference (P>0.05)in the twogroups in gender, age, basic disease syndrome. The experimental group and thecontrol group were both treated with the test drug1packets (9g) one time,3times a day, for4weeks.Changes in the24hour dynamic electrocardiogram,laboratory tests, clinical symptoms were observed before and after treatment toevaluate the effectiveness and safety of Wenxin granule.Results:(1) Both the experimental group and the control group have nostatistical significance in sex, age, height, weight, disease, life signs differencebefore the treatment,(P>0.05), indicating that two groups are comparable.(2)The result of Holter present the efficiency is87.5%in experimental group and12.5%in the placebo group(P>0.05), which is of significant difference.(3) Theefficiency of symptoms reduced is84.4%in experimental group and37.5%inthe placebo group.(P>0.05), and there is significant difference.(4)The figuresof blood routine, urine routine, liver and kidney function, CHOL and LDL-Cfrom laboratory examination have no related changes with the treatment both inexperimental group and the control group(P>0.05). But the figures of TG decreased significantly in the experimental group(P>0.05), there is significantdifference. There is no significant difference between the experimental groupand the control group in adverse reactions.Conclusion：Wenxin granule has obviously curative effect in the treatmentof ventricular premature beat (the efficiency of87.5%).At the same time,it candecrease the level of TG.It is safe, few side effects,with low effectivetherapeutic dose, not only improve the clinical symptoms, but also improve thequality of life of patients, which is suitable for clinical application.
