In recent years, the construction of hospital information in China has drawn more and more attention, and the comprehensive digital hospital developed gradually. Via managers of the hospital information construction, more information can be graphed and the management can be more effective to the managers. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology, can recognize target automatically by the Radio Frequency (RF) signal and acquire the relevant data, which works without human intervention, with the characteristics of wireless real-time remote read, identify fast and long life and so on. It not only recognizes object dynamically, and can also identifies multiple tags. RFID technology can identify objects in fast moving, and can also identify multiple tags, whose operation is quick and easy, and can has grand application areas, now involved in all aspects of people’s daily lives, and is becoming a basic technology of the future information society.The integration of RFID technology into hospital management system, especially into the materials management, has become an important research content of the construction of hospital information. With the development and deepening of the construction of hospital information management, supply room management system is getting more and more important in the hospital information system (HIS). Due to the unique nature of the work in the hospital supply room, it plays an important role in the control of hospital infection. Therefore, to design efficient supply room management software has great significance, which not only improves work efficiency, reduces vulnerability and can help the operation of the supply room work better. To improve the level of hospital supply room management can heighten the quality of disinfection and sterilization that can greatly improves the overall level of hospital management and avoids the happen of infection in the hospital. According to statistics, about5million patients encounter hospital-acquired infections every year, most of wich are caused due to the poor quality of disinfection. How to reduce medical errors is the biggest challenge for medical industry nowadays. As one of the key sectors for control of hospital infections, the quality of the work of the central supply room has a crucial role in the control of hospital infection. The main responsibilities of the central supply room is to clean medical equipment items, disinfect and equip with various types of treatment kits, surgical instruments bag and package based on the needs of care, diagnosis and treatment. After sterilization, they can be used by each ward of the hospital and medical departments. These requisitions are related to patient safety, so it’s very important to monitor and manage effectively. The sterile materials experience two steps of sterilization and use, especially in the step of sterilization, there’s need for high-temperature, cleaning and other procedures, to identifies and record the whole process facilitate is the key for management of sterile. RFID tags can be applied to complex environment, and via RFID technology and analysis of the characteristics of two-dimensional bar code, RFID technology can be used in sterile management system, which can identify the sterile, sterile easily and make the full record become possible.In this paper, the work in hospital supply room is investigated in detail, the entire workflow of the sterile from storage to recycling is analyzed, the process is based on the needs of the care, diagnosis, treatment, cleaning of medical equipment items, disinfection and equipped with various types of treatment kits, after that, these materials can be used by the hospital and medical departments recipients. With fully considering the characteristics of the supply room, the RFID technology is used in the hospital supply room management system to design the management system of a RFID-based identification technology for the track of the supply room sterile. This system is mainly used for sterile supply room to monitor the entire process and track management dynamically, including storage, classification of packaged sterile supply room, cleaning, inspection, packaging, sterilization, distribution and recycling. The use of RFID tags can improve the identification efficiency, as the items can be identified by the information system automatically, which achieves full traceability of the whole process of circulation in the hospital, and reaches the purpose of increasing the management quality of the sterile supply room and reducing management cost.In this paper, the research and work completed is as following.(1) Given the status of management of the sterile supply room, the problems of disinfection materials management in the supply room are discussed, the problem how to use RFID technology in sterile management based on RFID technology supply room is analyzed, and the system structure, key technologies, application mode, system configuration, system architecture and functional requirements analysis are designed completely.(2) According to the overall design of the system and the actual status of the hospital work, the system is designed in detail, including system features modules, database and interface. After that, the system is implemented, consists of the five modules of the project maintenance module, the device package management module (including construction, recycling, cleaning, inspection and packaging, sterilization, distribution equipment and package management), dynamic inventory of the equipment package module, the positioning device package module (including regional positioning, precise positioning) and the statistical analysis module. The process of design and implementation for each module follows the basic principle of software engineering with the phased life cycle plan and strict management to guarantee the timeliness, stability and maintainability of the system.(3) The relationship between the signal strength indication Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) using RFID reader and distance is studied, and the distance between nodes is estimated via the attenuation of the signal propagation process. The ranging positioning method based on the RSSI is easy to implement with less overhead and suitable for use in RFID system. Using appropriate methods of measurement, the analysis of radio propagation path loss model and a large number of measured data proves that the label RSSI can be used for real-time distance positioning on passive tags.(4) The regional location applications based on RFID is studied. By setting the read range of the reader, the room disinfection product labels are got and by identifying the reference labels, location of the labels is determined. This feature is mainly used for storage of the supply room storage room and nurses station. In order to prevent overlap of the area identified, when the same label is identified by two readers at the same time, the RSSI signal strength module is called to detect the tag signal strength based on comparison semaphore roughly to determine the accurate location of the label.(5) The location method for single RFID tag tracking is studied via laying several reader antennas and reference tags in the room. After the label of goods is read, the information on the label is compared, and with position locating algorithm the label location is determined. This function is used to locate the disinfection package in the supply room storage. The algorithm studied In this paper consists of the Fang algorithm, Chan algorithm, Friedlander algorithms, recursive iterative algorithm, classification conquer (DAC) algorithm, in which the mostly used algorithm for location in RFID is focused, including SpotON2algorithm, PinPoint3algorithm and LANDMARC algorithm. Based on the study of wireless sensor network positioning technology and the traditional RFID location technology, the locating algorithm is proposed specifically applied to hospital, and with the simulation of the algorithms, satisfactory results are obtained.(6) The supply room disinfection materials management system based on RFID location technology is designed, mainly consisting of equipment package management module, location management module, dynamic inventory module and statistical query module, and including the whole process of the sterile supply room storage, classification and packing, cleaning, inspection and packaging, sterilization, distribution, use and recycling. Via identifying sterile by RFID tags and recording relevant information, the quality of management of sterile supply room increases and management cost reduces. The system management meets the management needs of full traceability of sterile in hospital supply room. Supply room sterile management system based on RFID technology combining RFID technology, network technology, software technology and sterile management, improving the work efficiency. Combined with RFID location technology used in the inventory of sterile supply room and a library and other sectors, the quality of management of the sterile improves. The RFID technology is used in management process of the hospital supply room, realizing full monitoring and management and expanding management tools. However, RFID technology costs high, the overlap of tag identification is much low, and is not conducive to large-scale intensive use, which requiring manufacturers to improve the processes and techniques of related products as soon as possible. As improving quality at the same time and reducing the cost of RFID technology, the RFID technology can be applied to the construction of the hospital information better.
