Objectiive:Observe the clinical efficacy of the treatment on fural fullness (syndrome of exogenous wind-heat) with Chinese medicine Otitis media granule1.Methods:Select60patients who had fural fullness (syndrome of exogenous wind-heat) and accepted the theraphy at the department of the first affiliated hospital attached to Heilongjiang Traditional Chinese Medicine university from June in2010to May in2011. Age between5and55. Divide the patients into the treatment group(30cases,40ears) treated by Chinese medicine Otitis media granule1and KAOFUKE,and the control group(30cases,36ears) treated by Cefalexinand IV and KAOFUKE. The study began on the analysis based on the clinical symptoms, the expression of the eardrum, tests of pure tone audiometry and acoustic impedance as main observing index, and used established effect evaluating standard to effects of two groups. At the same time, compar clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment. Results:The treatment group has30patients(40ears),among18ears cured,8ears effected,7ears improvement,7ears ineffected, the good improvement rate65.00%and the total effective rate82.50%. And the control group also has30patients (36ears), among12ears cured,8ears effected,7ears improvement,9ears ineffected, the good improvement rate55.56%and the total effective rate75.00%. Both the curate rate and the total effective rate in treatment group were significantly higher than that in control group. After Ridit analysis there was no significant difference between two groups(p>0.05).Study has also showed that there was no obvious corelation between clinical efficacy and age and the disease course Conclus ion:1. The Chinese medicine Otitis media granule1has a quite good effect on fural fullness (syndrome of exogenous wind-heat).2. There was no corelation between clinical efficacy and age and the disease course3. The Chinese medicine Otitis media granule1is safe and has no significant toxic effects and easy to take.
